On a recent trip to Disneyland with my family (our first time together in that wonderful land) we started to notice a trend. We noticed that there in that fairy land, people are in another zone and seem to care little about the character shaped hats on their heads, shirts that usually only a child would wear, sparkling mickey ears even on grown men's heads and people dressed up like princesses EVERYWHERE! It was so enchanting to me that people left worldly trends behind and let their inner child take over.. here is some of what I found to represent this thought...
Where a kid can be a kid?The inner child within us all

Meg,
Anna and I were at Disneyworld in March and I noticed the trend too, I wonder how many people wear the hats that they buy at the park when they get home. Of course Anna didn't let me get a crazy hat because she knew I would wear it when we got home (just kidding). We actually were sad because we couldn't find mouse ears that would fit Connor.
Isn't it so funny! I loved it! i couldn't snap a picture of exactly everything that I saw.. cause I had to do it so discretely... but I did enjoy the ones I got and My mom and I had a fun time stalking some of the people down... I think I will make it a tradition each time I go, I had fun. I wish I would have got the old lady princesses that came with their granddaughters but I was holding my niece and you know how that goes:)
So true, I am an active participant in this trend while at Disneyland. If you are in doubt, go back to our Disneyland posts...that might have to be my new tradition too! What a riot!
See ... you play the game of taking photos of random strangers in Disney paraphernilia ... Jill Catts and I (I don't know if you know her or not, current BYU EFY coordinator) play a very similar game ... See who can take the most photos of strangers wearing FANNY PACKS while at Disneyland. We might have to try your game next time there! :)
Oh the fanny packs!! hahaha I did see ALOT of those as well... What fun traditions! We are all such quirky people and I think Disney brings it out in all of us even more.. things that make you go hum...
